Weeks 21-22
I can feel life! I was finally able to feel Baby B move. I actually feel pregnant and am thriving off of each movement I feel. During these two weeks I realized that I needed to start preparing for birth. This came as somewhat of a shock. In my head I have always skipped this over and thought I would be pregnant then come home with a baby. I didn’t really think about birth, how to prepare, and how to become informed. Weeks 17-20
Hey Baby B, please kick harder, move more, let me feel you. Any day now I should have been able to feel the baby kick. After all, it was the size of an ear of corn or a whole banana. How could it be possible that I still felt nothing? During these four weeks I gained all the weight and a little baby bump started to form. I was ravenous. Weeks 13-16
Hello Second Trimester! It was time to get started on the nursery, think about my job options, settling in on a daycare, staying active, and making the registry. During this time I sat still and tried really hard to feel something, anything. This was a strange time for us as most days it seemed like we “forgot” I was pregnant. We no longer had a secret to keep. We felt like we knew what we needed to do, so we were not researching as much. We felt confident in our plans and let our minds focus on other things.
